According to that article, John later said most of the "Imagine" lyrics came from Yoko, or were adopted by him. It says she's now credited as co-writer, although I did not make any effort to confirm that so not sure if it's accurate. But yes, I'd say at the least she had some influence there!
There is another Beatles song that she definitely influenced, called "Hey, Jude". Paul McCartney wrote the song to console John Lennon's son, Julian (aka Jude) when John left his wife and married Yoko.
Thank you so much for sharing. Iโve not come across this book so will check that out thanks.
Noticing the world feels like such a basic thing to do but these days while we stare at our phones we are missing so much.
Iโve taken to not even listening to music on my runs now. Gives my brain time to think but you notice so much more around you. A couple of weeks ago I wrote an article about a recent run and noticing all around me. See what you think.
Hey Rob, I'd love to send you a little note. What's the best email to contact you? I only saw a twitter, Facebook and Tumblr on your site (none of which I'm on!). Thank you!
A few icebreakers inspired by this post:
โIf you were a postcard what would it depict?โ
โWhat is one thing that you never dared to imagine?โ
โHow do you read your books? From page 1 on? Or you jump to a specific chapter because of its title? Or what else?โ
โHow often do you catch yourself fantasising? How do you react to that? What are you usually fantasising about?โ
Thanks for setting my mind free!
Terrific stuff, thank you!
This is fun!!! Thanks!
By the way, Yoko's husband, John, wrote a little song called "Imagine".
Your book looks wicked cool in Vietnamese!

Yes. I'd say so, myself!

Love it, thank you Martin!
I love "borrow a cannon" . I read it as calling to be iconoclastic which certainly would fit Yoko Ono.
Such a cool book๐ฎ
