Is there a word for an actor/actress who is too attached to a certain role that they have a hard time acting in anything else? I was thinking Jason Alexander (George Costanza) or Steve Carell (Michael Scott/Scarn.) but I'm sure there are plenty more. I've seen an interview with Jason Alexander where he was venting his frustration with this. Also I realize Steve Carell is in a lot of other roles so this word could just be a personal opinion.
Spinning off the same idea, how about a word when that is happening to someone and you (or someone else) fills in the missing piece? Perhaps there could be 2 words for this... 1 for when it is welcome (maybe even invited) and 1 for when it is not.
I call that “Sometimers”
