Great commentary on the weird decor article. I find that people who need instruction on adding weird into their life will usually arrange their bookshelf by color. On the other extreme we have one wall in our home that is filled with outsider art of angels because that’s my nickname for my wife, Angel not outsider. :-)

As a long time lover of unusual things I don’t actively seek them out but they seem to find me every so often. As soon as I see one i immediately know it belongs with me . Some are posh- some not so fancy but there is never any doubt. I’ve always thought of them as quirky but weird works also!

We have a junk store in Connecticut that supports exotic animals. Pandemonium. Many of the animals live on site. Folks donate the weird estate sale items of their deceased relatives. It’s a great place to poke. I once found a tiny chemistry weight set with one missing piece. Reminded me of one of the scariest times in Catholic school. A student had apparently played with the weight set and lost one of the pieces. The nuns terrorized us to discover the culprit and try to find the piece. No one ever ‘fessed up. I like to think the weight set I found ($4!) was that very set. I’m weird like that.

I dunno I think just set out the things that you love to look at and chances are some of them will be weird.

I feel like I might have the weirdest thing at home and not even considered it was one.

I will go and find it

I see many videos where influencers after influencers talk about a 'best kept secret' and make that thing a no secret. This 'influencing' someone towards that one thing is the issue I see in the 'weird decor' post as well. Sad but a massive trend (and pretty successful at that too).

Crustcrated covers ‘bottom and top’of many recipes. I like weird but not in food prepping substitutes.
