Yes! I've accidentally honked people in the past and wish I had a button to press for an "I'm sorry" sound. Or maybe the honk should be redesigned so that the sound is different depending on the pressure (press lightly for a meek "I'm sorry" sound, or press it hard for rude, loud noise).

I’m going to look for things out of place! I like this prompt a lot!
In addition, I’d like a word for when you roll up your sleeves (to wash your hands or do something messy), but then your sleeves slowly fall back down, forcing you to choose whether you: a) try to awkwardly avoid getting them wet/messy, b) minimize damage by awkwardly pulling them back up with the least number of wet/messy fingers, or c) give in and deal with wet sleeves.
I recently moved to Scotland (from the US) and people here use their hazard lights to say "thank you" and "sorry" all the time. At first I thought it was so strange and now I think it is super useful. When you need to acknowledge someone for letting you in or if you accidentally cut someone off, just click the hazards on for a moment and then off again to send the message. It is one of those things I've never seen anywhere else but everyone here seems to do it by instinct. 🤷🏼♂️
Near me is a block-long stretch of road bordered on either side by the backs of warehouses. About ten metres before it ends at a major throughway, there used to be a paved-in boulder that partly blocked the footpath and extended into the street. It wasn't close enough to the corner to be protecting the curb or anything else. It looked to me like it had been there since time immemorial and a decision had been made to just build around it, even though, as far as boulders go, it wasn't that large. A while ago though, it disappeared. When I read your prompt, I posted to our neighbourhood FB group asking if anyone knew what had happened to the boulder. Unfortunately, no-one who replied even remembered seeing the boulder, let alone knew what had happened to it. I will intensify my investigation.
Big fan of a uniform car sorry gesture. I got accidental-honked on my bicycle by a car in one of the most aggro areas of London recently – and the driver wound his window down, in the rain, to say it was unintentional and he was sorry. Made me very happy 🧡
Interesting as always. I especially love how the dog's shadow tricked me into thinking you owned a shepherd until I saw the head poking in from the lower edge of the picture.
Here in Rio, there some intentional traffic mistakes called "barbeiragens". When people commit one of these, they use the "thumbs up technique" described on the book "HOW TO BE A CARIOCA", which makes any maneuver acceptable. https://lisandrogaertner.net/blog/microposts/6195/
Regarding the apology gesture: A young driver pulled out in front me a while back, and managed to mess up the flow of traffic in both directions. I gave him a look like"what are you going to do now" He smiled and looked back at me as if to say " Yeah, I know I'm a knucklehead, but you know you still love me." I couldn'thelp but laugh. Apology accepted.
i have this idea of flashing msgs on car's windscreen. been pitching it to the friends who share road rage. maybe it can be now used to spread good vibes too! :)
this is my favorite newsletter yet -- look forward to updates about the concrete block. I take a lot of pictures of things on the ground. wait... maybe most things are on the ground? I take a lot of pictures of things on the wrong ground? shoot. uh... I take pictures. 😃
Whenever I make a mistake on the road, I always hope to look at the driver and raise my hand in an open palm position to express an apology :)

If looking for a gesture, go to ASL! The sign for "sorry" is one we use in our family all the time. That tells you about our family I guess!
My (artist) daughter is convinced we need a separate set of car horns: a "Good job!" horn, "Hah hah look at you" horn, an "Oops" horn...

I love the idea of a "sorry about that" gesture! I've done that cringe and wave many times!

"What's out of place? Spot something that seems out of place."
The first thing we usually notice is litter ...

Love the Lego idea! or a "Block Party".

Sometimes* it can be compulsory to put these things in their place like painting the block red and adding a “Lego” logo guerrilla style
