The latest installment of "Where Were You?," my long-running journal/obituary mashup series, is available online now, here. You should be able to download a PDF from that link, and I believe what you get will work with a Kindle or Kindle app, etc. Let me know if you have problems with your reader of choice. This is a 2014-2015 digital-only "double issue." The 2013 edition, which I believe was previously available only in print, is also digital now, here.

I’m speaking April 16 at Design Week Portland. Lots of cool and interesting people are speaking there as well. Registration closes this Sunday. Details here.

Letter From Nola (and New Orleans, Too): A three-part series on Medium, perhaps of particular interest to Letters From New Orleans fans? I appreciate any feedback on this: I would like to make it the beginning of a new cycle under the heading "Letters From Here" — but since that would likely be a 100% independent enterprise, it would be great to know who might be interested.

--> GIVEAWAY! I'm not sure why I sometimes end up with two copies of things, but it has happened again with Flashed: Sudden Stories In Comics and Prose. This is a really cool anthology, by Josh Neufeld and Sari Wilson, offering a “fresh take on the exquisite corpse method.” It includes the first (and only) fiction I have written since college. I am giving away the extra copy. Express interest with an email to within one week of today. Winner will be chosen via secret algorithm.
