Happy 2017. I'll be even more brief than usual.
[ 1. ] NEWS
I am pleased to announce that my Significant Objects co-conspirator Joshua Glenn and I have a new project: POLITICAL OBJECTS, which launched this past Thursday on HiLobrow, and features an all-star cast of 25 writers telling new stories of “political” objects they own, and why these objects matter.
We’ve already published pieces by Luc Sante, Lydia Millet, Ben Greenman, Rob Baedeker, L.A. Kauffman, Astra Taylor, Carolina A. Miranda, Stephen Duncombe, and Marisa Silver, with much more to come, through the end of March. Details here.
Political Objects is the first series from a new enterprise, PROJECT:OBJECT. In short, we’ll be publishing quarterly 25-story “volumes” on new themes, throughout 2017, with a variety of related attractions, diversions, stunts, and spectacles to be unveiled in the year ahead.
I hope you'll follow along on HiLobrow or via the weekly PROJECT:OBJECT mailing list: https://tinyletter.com/ProjectObject. And please help spread the word.
